Smugglers Run Fastpass Now Live!

Huge news dropped this morning for Fastpasses at Hollywood Studios! This was found by vigilant eyes rather than an announcement by Disney but there has been a change to the tier system. First of which is that Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Fastpass is now available. This is one of the newest attractions at Disney World and up until now did not have a FastPass available. So what does this change mean? Let’s break it down. 

Changes to Hollywood Studios Fastpass tier system?

There are several changes that have come to the tier system at Hollywood Studios. Now there are 2 rides in the Tier 1 category; Smugglers Run and Slinky Dog Dash. This is a change as there had not been a Smugglers Run Fastpass and several rides have been moved to Tier 2. This includes Tower of Terror and Rock ’n’ Roller coaster! This allows for more options throughout the day. Previously the second tier consisted of Star Tours and all the other shows. This is a major change to make sure you can get a lot done during your day at Hollywood Studios

When Can I get the Fastpasses?

You can get the Smugglers Run Fastpass as of now as long as your trip is after Feb 19th, 2020. This is the earliest that seems to be available. This is understandable as this is being newly added to the system. It has caused some lagging of the Disney World website and to the My Disney Experience app. It will likely start to improve within the next 24hrs. 

The changes with the Smugglers Run Fastpass and the tier system is exciting and adds more diversity to planning ahead. We will likely see changes to other parks as well within the near future, especially with the new rides coming to Epcot. No fastpasses are available for Rise of the Resistance at this time.
