Queue up Sam Eagle’s voice from The Muppets, “Are you American or like American Barbecue?” If so, then there is a great new spot for you at Epcot! It is official that the Regal Eagle Smokehouse has opened up in the American Pavilion at Epcot World showcase earlier this week. There had been rumors that this was going to be opening soon, but now you can get your patriotic food fix. Let’s dive into the theming and the food!
What is the Regal Eagle Smokehouse?
Barbecue has taken over the Liberty Inn in Epcot and has been highly anticipated to try the “Fast-casual” BBQ quick service. Throughout the decor of the building, you see subtle nods to The Muppets. There are a lot of little details including the name being a complement to ever-popular Sam Eagle. It is not overwhelming but enough to add a good feel to the venue.
What about the food?
As stated above, this will be a quick-service venue that provides American barbeque. One thing to note is that it will have mobile ordering to reduce some wait times. There are plenty of options for food from salads to meat-based entrees (Memphis dry rub Pork ribs, Kansas Smoked half chicken, etc.) and even plant-based burgers. As a result, they pretty much have something for everyone. The beverage selection has a good variety of drinks from soda (Coca-cola products), as well as ciders and craft beers from across America.
From what we have seen on social media, the food looks absolutely delicious. They have a good variety of food for any barbecue enthusiast. This is definitely a welcome addition to the American Pavilion which always felt like it was slightly lacking something, however, they have found it. If you are in Epcot, this would be a great place to try out and let us know what you think of Regal Eagle Smokehouse!
