Frozen at Blizzard Beach Coming Soon!

Since January 2022, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park has been closed for renovations. Yesterday, Disney announced even more fantastic news and set a date for the park’s reopening. As many know, Disney loves to move IPs (intellectual properties) around the parks and Blizzard Beach will be no different. You will soon be able to experience Frozen at Blizzard Beach soon! This looks to be a really cool theming addition to the park!

What does this mean?

Characters from Disney’s wildly successful animated film “Frozen” will be brought into the water park. Moreover, Anna and Elsa are the ideal showcase for a water park already covered in snow and ice. Children can splash, slide, and play with “Frozen” characters including Olaf and his cute companions, the Snowgies. This will be in front of Anna and Elsa’s freezing igloo palace when Blizzard Beach reopens to visitors on November 13, 2022. However, this will not be a full retheme for the park but an addition to the child play area.

What else is there at Blizzard Beach

Aside from its adorable residents, Blizzard Beach is well-known for its record-breaking attractions and thrilling experiences. Visitors who are daring enough to ride Summit Plummet, a 120-foot-tall waterslide with a ski-jump theme, can travel at up to 65 mph. This is on par with the fastest rides at Walt Disney World. This is due to it being the equivalent top speed of the Test Track at Epcot.

Moreover, Cross Country Creek, a lazy river at Blizzard Beach, is one of the longest in the nation at 3,000 feet. It can take up to 30 minutes to travel the entire length. There are several stations along the way if you wish to get off. You can also challenge your friends to a race down the park’s Toboggan Racers slalom-style slide.
