Epcot Forever opening night coming soon!

We’ve reported several times. Epcot will be getting a new nighttime spectacular that will soon replace Illuminations. The opening of Epcot Forever is fast approaching with the opening night scheduled for October 1st. This is part of changes coming to Epcot as a whole.  Illuminations has been Epcot’s steeple night time show past 10 years. Showing Unity across the world as it highlights the world showcase. Epcot Forever will hopefully provide a similar type feel to the stage as it will bring new imagination into the World Showcase Lagoon. But Let’s dive into what we have to look forward to with the Epcot Forever opening night! 

What is to come?

According to Disney Parks blog oh, we will see a lot of the history from Epcot brought back into this revolutionary spectacular. This will include dazzling fireworks in lighting as well as lasers and special effect kites. There will also be an update to the soundtrack that includes classic themes. This has been recorded by incredible London Symphony Orchestra along with vocals being performed by a choir of singers that come from across central Florida. The songs include “Listen to the Land”, “Magic Journeys” and “One Little Spark”.

Illuminations will definitely be missed and have a place in many people’s hearts but Epcot Forever looks to be a worthy replacement.  This will utilize new technologies that we may see in future shows as well, especially with the special effect kites which will be new to any Disney World night shows.  Disney has announced that there will be a Disney live stream of Epcot forever opening night. The live stream will start at 8:50 pm EST. We will have a link to the site that night so that you don’t miss out. Make sure to check back in!
