Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle

We had previously announced that there would be a new nighttime spectacular at Universal Studios Orlando, well it’s finally here! The Harry Potter Nighttime show Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle has officially made its debut. Guests were able to see this show starting on Sept 14th and seems to be a hit. The show will run for the next couple months, finishing on November 15th. The show had started a little earlier at Universal Studios Hollywood. This show changes the feel of projection shows with the use of special effects and state-of-the-art projection maps.

There are a couple of differences between the two versions of Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle. First of which is that the Orlando show does not use drones. This is an impressive part of the show in Universal Studios Hollywood. However, with the changes that have come to Universal Studios Orlando, we now have the chance to come face to face with Death Eaters. Along with the Death Eaters, they will be accompanied by many creatures with the Mountain Trolls, Thestrals, and of course dementors.

Joining the ranks

This will make for the third projection-based show to make its appearance on the Hogwarts Castle. Other projection shows are the Christmas show, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” and the seasonal “Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle”. This show will not soon be forgotten with the struggle against the evil of Voldermort and the Death Eaters. Guests will help summon their strength to go up against these forces in a dazzling show! The Harry Potter areas of Universal Studios Orlando parks are a huge draw with the immersive environment and the incredible rides including Escape from Gringotts and Forbidden Journey! If you have a chance to go, I highly recommend either of these rides!
