Disney’s Jungle Cruise To Be Released Later This Year!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had a major announcement for Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie. Well, we will get to this later on. We already knew that Jungle Cruise would be the newest movie to join the Disney ranks and one of the few movies based on a Disney ride. The best known being Pirates of the Caribbean, along with Tomorrowland and Haunted Mansion. We don’t mention Country Bear Jamboree… There will be changes to the story of Jungle cruise but it should be entertaining nonetheless. I mean what can’t the Rock do?

When will Jungle Cruise be released?

What was the big announcement from Dwayne Johnson? It was that Disney’s Jungle Cruise be available both in theaters and on Disney Plus from Day one! This will make its debut on July 30th, 2021. This had been pushed back several times since 2019 but will soon be available. This will cost the same as past movies on the Disney Plus Premier. This is a set price of $29.99. When you purchase the Disney Plus Premier, you will have access to that movie on the day of release until you cancel your Disney Plus account. This strategy has worked well with the release of Raya and The Last Dragon and Mulan.

What is the movie about?

Disney’s Jungle Cruise will follow Dr. Lily Houghton (Emma Blunt) who is in search of a legendary healing tree in the middle of the Jungle. Along the way, she enlists the help of Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson) who is a discontented riverboat captain to take her down the Amazon on the La Quila. This will lead to a high-stakes adventure that could change the “future of medicine”. This should add a lot to the ride at Magic Kingdom after the theatrical release.
