Disney After Hours Returns in 2023!

Some bright news with the incoming hurricane! One thing that has been lacking at Disney World is the After Hours events. But that will change in 2023! Disney After Hours returns to Disney World on January 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and on January 9 at Magic Kingdom.

 Disney After Hours events had been a popular add-on event. For those that don’t know, The After Hours event is a late-night, separately ticketed event that lasts three hours longer than regular park hours. Along with the extra hours in the park, it also includes goodies like popcorn, ice cream, and some beverages. One of the biggest perks of the event is that there will be less of a wait for some of your favorite attractions. This is because this is a limited-ticket event. 

Prior to Disney After Hours being suspended over the past couple of years, the cost of the event had gone up. Tickets were fixed at $129 back then, and today range from $129 to $149 depending on the date. Not a huge jump but definitely more expensive per person. 

When will After Hours take place?

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will host Disney After Hours activities on a few nights between January 4 and April 19, 2023. The Magic Kingdom will host Disney After Hours activities on a few nights between January 9 and March 27, 2023. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has Disney After Hours from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., while Magic Kingdom hosts it from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission opens at 7 o’clock.

The Magic Kingdom will host Disney After Hours on 

• January 9, 16, 23, 
• February 16, 20,  
• March 2, 6, 13, 16, and 27

The following dates and times for Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2023:

• January 4, 11, 18, 25, 
• February 15, 22, 
• March 8, 22, and April 2, 5.

Even though it doesn’t start until 930-10 pm, you can enter the park where the event is taking place as early as 7 p.m. if you have Disney After Hours tickets. Regular daytime park admission does not include access to Disney After Hours. This is unless you want to enter the park prior to 7 pm. That is because this is a separate, fee-based ticket. 

When can I get the tickets?

Starting on October 7, 2022, all visitors can purchase event tickets for Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a price ranging from $129 to $159 per ticket (plus tax). However, Disney After Hours tickets can be purchased by guests of specific Walt Disney World Resort hotels as early as October 4. The advance-purchase window is also open to visitors staying at Disney Resort hotels, the Swan and Dolphin hotels at Walt Disney World Resort, and Shades of Green.
