Raya and The Last Dragon Premier Access in March!
Soon dragons will make their way to theaters from the house of Mouse. Disney announced last year, Raya and the Last Dragon. This will follow Raya and the adventures across the mythical land of Kumandra. This will hit theaters on March 5th, 2021. Raya and the Last Dragon stars Kelly Marie Tran and follows a young warrior that saves the land while in search of the last remaining dragon. Raya and The Last Dragon premier Access will be available as well as in theaters.
This will be the second special release for Disney. Last year, Disney added a new feature to Disney+ with Mulan by adding on Premier Access. Premier access allows Disney + subscribers to buy/rent the movies at the same times as a film goes to theaters. Raya and the Last Dragon Premiere access is available to pre-order now! It is important that this is a digital copy that is tied to your Disney+. If you cancel your Disney+, you lose your copy of the movie.
How to purchase and Premier access price
On March 5th, you can search for the film and click “Get Premier Access”. In the past, there should also be a link on the main screen of Disney+. Raya and The Last Dragon will cost $29.99 on top of the monthly fee for Disney+. This is likely what most people would pay if they were to go to the movies. You can preorder Raya and The Last Dragon online through Disney + as well. If you purchase now, you can watch it as many times as you’d like.
Disney Movie Rewards
Much like going to the movies, you can collect Disney Movie Rewards on this. If you get Premiere Access, then you can earn 300 points for this purchase. It has to be submitted between now (if preordered) and May 31st, 2021. In order to get this, you will need to submit the confirmation email through the Disney Movie Insiders site or app.
When does it become free?
If you do not want to pay for Raya, then you can wait until it goes free on Disney +. It is scheduled to be released for general viewing on Disney+ on June 4th. This date could change but seems unlikely as we did not see a change with Mulan which was released about 90 days from theater release.
