New Animal Kingdom dessert party
Have a sweet tooth? Going to see River of Lights? Here is a chance to do both! If so, Details for the newest dessert party that was added to Animal Kingdom was released this morning on the Disney Parks Blog. I think if possible, everyone should do a dessert party at least once. But what is a dessert party? It is a dining experience where you have a buffet of desserts, in this case, they are Animal kingdom themed. With this desert party, you also get VIP seating for the Rivers of Light show.
The seating for the Animal Kingdom dessert party is located across from Expedition Everest at the Rivers of Light Asia Viewing area. With the party you get a fairly large variety of desserts, drinks and alcoholic beverages, which is an addition to the dessert parties since the last time I went. For more information can be found HERE The current pricing is $47 for children and $79 for adults. This is on top of your day ticket price as well. For some this is on the expensive side for what you get but includes VIP views of the show.
When does it start
The Animal Kingdom dessert party will be available starting on August 6th 2018. For the party, you can check in up to 60 minutes beforehand. The Rivers of Light starts around 9:15PM, so you can check in around 8:15. I usually recommend getting there earlier rather than later to get situated to make sure you don’t miss any of the show. I’ve done the Magic Kingdom dessert party on the Tomorrowland Terrace but can’t wait to do this one! I will write up more of the Magic Kingdom dessert party later on. The dessert party at Animal Kingdom would be a great experience to add-on to your trip if you can afford it!
