Contemporary Resort Retheme Coming Soon!
This may be a little bit of a controversial opinion but Disney’s Contemporary Resort has always struggled for an identity. For those who do not know, the Contemporary is one of the main three Deluxe resorts at Disney World. It has been well kept over the years but the theming seemed off when compared to the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian. But soon that will change. A new Contemporary Resort retheme is in the works!
What will the theming include?
It comes as a little bit of a surprise that the new theme for the Contemporary will be The Incredibles! This seems like it will be well integrated as it can be adapted to the timeline of the facade of the Contemporary but give the resort new life. Now we get a peek at what will be to come. It will give it subtle nods throughout as well as keep and expand on its sleek classic look. This will include artwork and decor centered around the Pixar classic. It should be able to blend the superhero with modern appeal. This will complement the structure of the Contemporary without having to revamp the entire resort.
That’s not all that will be updated
The new resort redesign will extend to the lobby as well. This will show off photographs of the building/construction of the Contemporary resort. Another big change will be to the restaurant scene. unfortunately, The Wave will be closing and undergoing an update. But will create a new dining experience to be open by Disney World’s 50th anniversary. We do not know if this dining experience will include The Incredible theming as well. This will be a lot of changes during the Contemporary resort retheme!
