Since the theme park resort closed in March 2020, the majority of objects at Walt Disney World have returned to their prior state. But the “Disney Dining Plan” has still been absent. However, the Walt Disney World Resort has just unveiled a fresh “Disney Dining Promo Card” promotion with a few summer 2023 holiday packages. This may not be a return of the free dining plan but it is a step in that direction. Disney Dining Promo may be the new iteration of the old discount.
What does this mean?
Between June 25 and September 14, 2023, select hotel stays with vacation packages will include the Disney Dining Promo Card. According to Disney’s website, customers can receive up to a $750 Disney Dining Promo Card with the purchase of a five-night, four-day non-discounted accommodation and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resorts. Similar to in the past, this will be based on the location and will have varying rates. This card can be used to make purchases of food and drinks at Walt Disney World Resort locations that participate.
What are the discounts?
Between June 25-30 and July 11-31, guests receive
- $35 per night for Value resorts
- $75 per night for Moderate resorts and Cabins
- $125 per night for Disney Deluxe resorts and Villas
Between July 1-10 & August 1- September 14, Guests receive
- $50 per night for Value resorts
- $100 per night for Moderate resorts and Cabins
- $150 per night for Disney Deluxe resorts and Villas
When do I get the promo card?
Following hotel check-in, guests will get the dining promotion card via email. Like most gift cards, the card needs to be presented when using it at places that accept it. Additionally, they can utilize the promotion dining card for eligible mobile orders. Before dining or making purchases with the dining promo card, Walt Disney World urges customers to make sure the establishment accepts these cards. It should be noted that this promotion does not apply to some Walt Disney World properties.
The following locations, according to Walt Disney World, do not accept the promo dining card:
- Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel, or Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel
- Merchandise locations and candy shops/kitchens
- Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels
- Walt Disney World Official Hotels at Bonnet Creek
- Walt Disney World Gateway Hotels
- Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort
