Candlelight Processional 2021 Details Updated!

Hard to believe that soon the holiday season will be upon us. With all of the chaos over the past couple of years, things are starting to get to a level of normalcy. This also includes some of the Christmas/holiday traditions at Disney. This has been a can’t miss event at Epcot over the years. Several announcements have been made for the Candlelight Processional 2021, including the performers coming to Epcot. This is on top of the holiday decorations surrounding Epcot. Here are what we know so far.

What is the Candlelight Processional?

The Candlelight Processional is a seasonal retelling of the story of Christmas that takes place at Epcot. This includes the Biblical story originating in Bethlehem with music woven throughout the evening. Not only with there be the celebrity host but include an orchestra and massed choir performing. In past years, Disney has live-streamed at least one of the showings, which means if you wanted to see years past, you can find it on Youtube. Performances will be held at the American Garden Theatre by the American Pavillion.

When does Candlelight Processional take place?

There will be a couple of performances on select nights, starting in November and finishing at the end of December. This will include a variety of performers over the course of the 2021 holiday season, as listed below. The first performance will be on November 29th, 2021. The last of professionals will be on December 28th, 2021.

Who will be performing?

The candlelight processional is a star-studded evening with season music. Each narrator will be hosting several nights of the Candlelight Processional 2021. More importantly, Disney will be keeping with tradition, there will be a wide variety of talent from actors to singers, this year including Disney legend Jodi Benson. Performance dates and narrators can be updated at any time.

Chita Rivera – November 29 through December 1

Jodi Benson – December 2 through December 4

Alton Fitzgerald White – December 5 through December 7

Lisa Ling – December 11 through December 13

Steven Curtis Chapman – December 23 through December 25

Blair Underwood – December 26 through December 28

Pat Sajak – December 29 through December 30

Will there be dining packages?

As with past years, there will be several options for dining packages for the Candlelight Processional. Each dining package will include an appetizer, entree, and dessert as well as a ticket to the show. alternatively, it will count as 1 buffet type meal depending on the restaurant as well. For a variety, there are 4 restaurants that are available for the package, including Biergarten restaurant, Coral Reef restaurant, Garden Grill, and Rose and Crown. Moreover, this is a popular option for getting a seat for the processional. In addition, you can book reservations at 60 days out and they can fill up fast. You will want to book a reservation quickly. Of note, there are 1000 seats available at American Garden Theatre with at least 50% held for dining packages. However, in the past, this has been closer to 75% reserved for dining packages.
