What’s better than looking forward to warmer temperatures as part of the country is covered in snow. Florida is already starting to get to warmer temperatures and that means getting back to water parks. Disney has announced the reopening of its water park later last week. Typhoon Lagoon, a water park owned by Disney, will reopen to visitors on March 19 of 2023. The Typhoon Lagoon Water Park reopening feels like its long overdue.
There will be specials with Typhoon Lagoon reopening
Typhoon Lagoon is providing some new delights to mark the reopening. A pineapple upside-down cone at Happy Landings, barbecue chicken and grilled pineapple flatbread at Leaning Palms, and fruity new DOLE Whip flavors such as watermelon, mango, pineapple, strawberry, and raspberry are all new arrivals.
Along with many classic faves like the Moana and Hei Hei Ice Cream Cone and the well-known Sand Pail Sundae, there will also be a wide selection of savory snacks like Battered Fish Tacos and Fish & Chips.
Among the new alcoholic drink options are the Crush ‘N’ Gushed white and red Sangrias, the Mayday Mojito Flight, and Kungaloosh Kooler.
Typhoon Lagoon Special events!
Additionally, H2O Glow After Hours will begin on May 20 and running through September 2nd on select evenings. These events are limited in number to keep crowds down. The glowing party gives everyone easier access to their favorite Typhoon Lagoon thrills by allowing guests to experience their favorite attractions outside under the stars for three hours (8-11 p.m.) after the water park shuts to daytime visitors. The limited-capacity event’s tickets go on sale on March 3 at the Walt Disney World Resort website.
What about Blizzard Beach?
Blizzard Beach is currently the only water park still open after the Walt Disney World water park closed for its yearly renovation over the winter. However, beginning on March 19, Blizzard Beach will shut due to Typhoon Lagoon’s opening.
