When you’re getting ready for your upcoming Disney vacation, it is full of excitement. But always some concern if you will be able to get the rides that you want. One of the best features Disney had in the past was Fastpass + but this went away in 2020. The Genie+ had helped some but was limited in selection. However, Disney has announced that they listened to guests and brought back a version of Fastpass + with a twist. They will adapt the Lightning Lane with the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

This summer, changes are being made to the Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry to allow for better planning. Starting July 24, Disney Genie+ will be renamed Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and individual Lightning Lane will be called Lightning Lane Single Pass. Make sure to note refurbishment schedule when booking the selections!

Key Changes to Lightning Lane Multi Pass:

Previously, lightning lanes and Genie+ you would have to make the selections the day that it was purchased during yoru vacation. This limited the number of rides that you could get with this system. However, now with the new system, Guests will be able to make the selections prior to getting to starting their trip. Furthermore, guests can select the times for the experience they want and will be able to select the experiences for the entirety of their Disney vacation.
