Mobile ordering at Disney World

Mobile ordering at Disney World

One of the best features that has been added to the Walt Disney World app is the ability to get food on the go. It has been a little bit since Disney has added the ability to use mobile ordering at Disney world to order food ahead of time. Mobile ordering was initially rolled out in 2017 and has expanded since then. This has been a game changer when visiting Walt Disney World for a few reasons, including saving time. They are continually updating the app to provide the best user experience as well as expanding it’s services. One way this has occurred is by Disney has slowly added quite a few restaurants. However, the question is, “how does this help me?”

About the Mobile ordering at Disney World

Mobile ordering is a time-saving option for faster food options and snacks. There are more than 20 different quick service restaurants that are participating at each location. The food that can be ordered is both meals, as well as snacks. After the food has been ordered, all you have to do is open the app and click “I’m Here”.  This will definitely help you beat the lines. The other nice thing with this option is that it provides an allergy-free or dietary restriction menu to make sure everyone in your family is covered. If you are at your resort and making your way to the parks, you can order simply from the app to have it waiting for you as soon as you get there.

What are the benefits of this?

The biggest benefit of this is the ability to save time. If you have ever been to Disney world, even during the off times, it is busy. A majority of those people will need food at some point. Which means that the lines can be long. During the peak times, it can almost feel unbearable. The ability to use mobile ordering at Disney World helps to reduce this wait. You are able to place your order and pay ahead of time so that you can pick up your food quickly. You should still plan ahead because the food still needs to cook. This option is also available at Disneyland. Remember that the less time in lines, the more time you’ll have to spend cruising on rides or taking in shows.

The other benefit is the ability to get food you wouldn’t normally. If you have a large group of people, it is usually difficult to get everyone to agree on a restaurant/quick service. This provides a little more flexibility. You can order from one restaurant and someone else can order from another. This can help minimize some of the family squabbles that are usually bound to pop up from time to time. You can look at the menus ahead of time and have a plan ahead of time. There are quite a few options, especially at Magic Kingdom; and Disney continues to add more.
