Ever wanted to go on a Disney Cruise? With the chaos of last year, cruising was put on hold. But now We are starting to see hope that they will start to take to the seas once again. Some cruises are getting ready to in Europe but waiting here in the US. As this gets closer, we also have an update on a new ship as the Disney Wish cruise ship is announced for next year. For this, Disney has provided quite a presentation on the Disney Wish. 

What will be new on the Disney Wish?

The Wish will be a magnificent ship

This massive ship is a huge undertaking and progress has already been made on its construction. Captain Minnie will be present on the bow of the Wish when it is completed. It will have a 3 story atrium that is inspired by your favorite fairytales. This will include a statue of Cinderella front and center along with the wishing star along the ceiling. The rooms will take on a new look that will bring in aspects of cinderella. For a higher cost, there will be 2 story suites that will have a spiral staircase and an elegant feel.  The Wish will join the fleet of ships that includes Fantasy, Dream, Magic, and Wonder.  What makes the Magic different is that It will have the influence of Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel throughout the ship. With aspects to please everyone in the family.

One of the most impressive parts of the ship is the new attraction at sea, AquaMouse. Has lighting effects and show scenes. Which will include a new short, Scuba Scramble. As the name implies, this is a water ride that spans 760 feet around the top deck. Disney WIshe Cruise will set sail in the Summer of 2022. However, General bookings will open up on May 27th, 2021; so keep your plans open if you are hoping to schedule a trip.

Family affair

The Magic will have areas for members of the family at any age. From group areas to special area. The Disney Wish cruise will also have both family swim areas and dining areas. 

There will be an adults-only section, Discussed later on, as well as a youngster area, Toy Story Splash Zone. The Splash Zone will have slides and splash areas. In the past, there has been an Oceaneer Club for the little ones to Tweens. It is reported that this will be re-imagined and will include a hidden slide to enter the area.

For the kids

Marvel Super Hero Academy will be taking to the high seas. This will allow recruits to train with Marvel’s toughest avengers. Guests can choose their favorite Marvel hero suit to try it out. At Fairytale hall, kids will be able to channel their inner artists to draw with rapunzel or see Belle’s library. Next up is the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab for kids. This will allow kids to develop their own coaster or ride and test it out. 

For everyone

On the Disney Wish, the Walt Disney Theatre will take on the appearance of the enchanted forest. It will be home to broadway type shows including Aladdin along with other shows. At the Grand Hall Stage, there may be surprise appearances. Which is located at the heart of the ship. There will also be a Marvel-inspired aspect that has been hinted at but not released yet.

Dining for the family will have 3 new options. The most popular will likely be the Frozen dining experience, Arendelle. Here you will be able to dine as Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff takes center stage for entertainment. For an old-school feel, there will be 1923 and will have a classic feel. The third will be a Marvel-based dining experience, Worlds of Marvel. Here guests will be part of an interactive dining experience. However, more details will be released later on. 

For the Adults 

Queue the Imperial March. At the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge, you will be able to test drinks that are out of this world. The area will immerse you into the depths of space and the realm of Star Wars. For more of a traditional Disney experience, Beauty and the Beast dining for adults will be available. Stopping first at The Rose for a drink before dinner and then moving to Palo Steakhouse. Or there will be Enchante, which will be more gourmet-type cuisine. All of which will be inspired by Beauty and the Beast. 

Finally, for relaxation, you can rest up at Quiet Cove which includes a spa and lounge area. Whether to get away or grab a drink, you are covered. No matter what you’re looking for on a cruise, Disney has you covered.

As part of the celebration

Disney and Make A Wish has long had a partnership to help those battling terminal illness, and this continues to this day. It has been announced by Bob Chapek during the Wish presentation that Disney would be donating $1 million dollars to Make A Wish on the Wish day.
