One of the biggest seasonal staples at Disney World was the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. However, with all of the changes over the past couple of years, this has gone to the wayside. Now there will be a new after-hours event to take place. This is similar to Mickey’s Boo Bash event rather than MNSSHP. We now know that the after-hours celebration will now be Disney Very Merriest After Hours.
When will this take place?
The time frame for this will be a little different compared to MVMCP but will take place over the better part of 2 months. The first Disney Very Merriest After Hours event will be on November 8th and will run several nights per week until December 21st. This will likely have similar hours to the Boo Bash after-hours event but has not been confirmed yet. Similarly, this will be a limited guest event, but we do not know what the capacity will be. It will arrive after the start of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
What we do know about Very Merriest
There are already plans for a fireworks show that will bring back Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime fireworks. It is expected to have holiday music pumped throughout the park as well as a variety of seasonal treats. We can always expect to see several characters out and about including mickey in his seasonal attire. Overall this should be a great after hours event. So if you are interested in going, keep an eye out for ticket dates. Which, we do know that tickets will go on sale next month, which is quite early for the event. Make note that if you are staying onsite at a Disney World Resort, you will have first dibs at tickets to the events.
