Descendants Rise of Red Breaks Streaming Records

It had been several years since the last Descendants movie came out. And there was some speculation about whether the series would continue or not. Disney is sure glad that it did. Descendants 4 Rise of Red is currently Disney Branded Television’s most-viewed DCOM premiere ever on the streamer, with 6.7 million views in its first three days of availability, the company announced. With the release on Disney + provided the subscribers to see this first and will later debut on Disney Channel on August 9th.

How has it faired against other Disney Plus originals?

Disney published The Acolyte’s one-day viewership statistics from June. Which the show received about 4.8 million views. In October, Loki Season 2 was one of the most watched shows on Disney Plus. During that period, it garnered over 10 million views, making it one of the most popular programs on Disney+.

Disney+ defines views as hours viewed divided by runtime. The third Descendants movie attracted slightly more than 8 million viewers when it debuted on Disney Channel. That suggests that the movie did about as well as it could have if it had made its linear TV premiere.

There have been ebbs and flows of subscribers around Disney Plus. Disney claims that the movie is also creating a lot of excitement on streaming services. Moreover, the hashtag #Descendants has had over 95 million views in the United States and over 9 billion views worldwide. The soundtrack for Descendants: The Rise of Red has already received over 26 million plays on various platforms. To say it has gotten some attention is an understatement.

What is Descendants 4 Rise of Red about?

Descendants: The Rise of Red tells the tale of Chloe, Cinderella’s meticulous daughter, and Red, the disobedient daughter of the Queen of Hearts. Polar opposites Red and Chloe must band together and go back in time to reverse the horrific event that led Red’s mother down her evil path when the despotic Queen of Hearts instigates a coup against Auradon.

Disney has come out with lots of information lately and changes to several of their events, one of the coolest changes will be to the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. You may be asking what this has to do with this movie, just wait! Disney will be having a Descendants Party to the after-hours event! Hopefully, this will include the music from the newest movie

I can say without a doubt this has become very popular in our household with several watches thru already. Have you watched Descendants: the Rise of Red? What do you think of the movie?
