We are halfway through the year and Disney is already starting to look towards the Christmas season. Earlier we released an article on the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. Disney has also released what to expect around the other parks as well. As always, it is something to look forward to. Let’s take a stroll through the parks and look at what to expect with Christmas around Disney World 2021.
Animal Kingdom
As in past years, Disney Christmas magic is spread through each of the parks. If maybe in subtle details to shine the holiday season. One of the biggest things that happens at Animal Kingdom is the Tree of Life. Disney confirmed that it will take on the Beacon of Magic most nights throughout the celebration of the 50th anniversary. If you don’t know what this is, it is when projections are spread across the Tree of Life like a tapestry. It is quite a sight to see. There will also be seasonal songs across the parks and festive characters floating down Discovery River.
Epcot
One of the biggest announcements for Epcot is the return of the Cookie Stroll! That is unless you are not a fan of seasonal cookies then they have other announcements as well. Disney will be bringing back the International Festival of the Holidays. This will start on November 26th and run through December 30th. During the festival, there will be musical performances as well as Holiday Kitchens throughout the park.
Hollywood Studios
If you ever needed a place to stop and look up, it is at the Tower of Terror…. I mean the Holiday Tower Hotel. Talking about projections, no trip is complete without checking out this seasonal array of lights, music, and projections. It is quite the spectacle to watch as the tower transforms from everything from The Muppets to Toy Story. First Time in Forever: Frozen Sing-Along adds a new finale to boost the festive mood starring Olaf. There will also be a festive meal available at Hollywood & Vine, featuring none other than Minnie Mouse. You may even catch a glimpse of Goofy Santa around.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom during the holiday season has become a quintessential stop. Nothing brings you into the Christmas season like walking down Main Street USA while it is wrapped up in its seasonal bow, so to speak. Our previous article announced that Disney would be replacing Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with Disney Very Merriest after hours event. This will have a lot of the same benefits as the party but now as an After hours event and will bring plenty of holiday magic. And of course, there will be a bunch of seasonal merchandise available across the parks.
Disney Springs
One of the best things around Disney Springs during the holidays was the Tree stroll. Which I am pleased to say will be returning with the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll. The Christmas Tree Stroll has a variety of trees dressed to the nines for the holiday season and is Disney-inspired or themed. Christmas decorations and lights will take over the shops and throughout the walking area. Several of the bars will become more seasonal-themed, including the change from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to Jock Lindey’s Holiday Bar.
